I didn't get any pictures from the 4th of July this year, but we still had a good time. We went out to my mom and dad's like usual. This year we stayed close to the house instead of going to the pond. My mom bought a little kiddie pool and the kids had a blast splashing and playing. Brooke had a fun time learning to blow bubbles. She did great!
There has been a little excitement at the Marshall house the past week or so. The kids came down with Hand, Foot and Mouth disease. It affected them all a little different. They all had sores in their mouth and didn't want to eat, but Brooke got the sores all over her arms and legs too.
It actually looked much worse than these pictures show.
The kids all ran a fever with this, and Addy just wanted to float on her back in the pool to cool off. She floated for a LONG time. The bottoms of Addy's feet were extremely itchy, and she had red spots on the bottoms of her feet and hands. Luke had the spots, but they weren't itchy. So, if you get any of those symptoms, you might have HFM disease. It's a virus, so you've just got to wait it out.
And the sickness didn't keep them from helping Daddy with the toy box. You can see that they were a big help.
Addy even got to drill her first hole. The project is finished now, but I haven't taken an after picture. The box is sitting by the sandbox and is full of the outside toys. I will try to get a picture of it with the master carpenter and the assistants soon.
