Funnies
We just finished lunch and the kids have been saying some funny things without even realizing it. First Luke and I were having a conversation and he says, " I wish we could adopt a boy that's one day younger than me." I said, " All you would do is fight." He gets a big grin and says "uh huh!"
Then I overheard the girls conversation while playing "babies".
Brooke: My baby eats gluten free. Addy: Oh ok, we have gluten free food here. Of course there's food that's not gluten free too, but we'll make sure there's no cross contamination. Your baby should be fine.
At lunch Brooke put some ketchup on her meat and said, "yeah, ketchup DOES taste like tomatoes!"

Time To Post
I've been trying to post for awhile now. The other night I got on to post and the computer wouldn't boot up. That computer is done and it took us awhile to get back up and running with a loaner. Here's some fairly recent happenings.
Here we all are in the corn field. It's a good year for corn.
Here is a picture from Sarah's wedding.
The three amigos. Yes they are friends!
Brooke's new wig. She loves to have long hair and pony tails and braids. She just doesn't like to wear it for very long.
Cute little Chloe. She is really growing up.
Luke's new thing is standing on his head. He is always looking for a chance to get his feet up!

Where Have We Been?
I decided it was time to put something on the blog tonight and realized this is the first post of the year! 5 months in and I am finally getting around to doing a post. We have had a lot going on this year. I'll back up a bit.
Winter was beautiful. This is my view from my kitchen sink.
Addy got her ears pierced! She was so excited. She got an ear care kit and didn't miss cleaning her ears one time. She even continued cleaning them way past the two weeks until the bottle of cleaner was gone. She is very responsible with her new earrings. Taking her blood sugars and multiple shots a day makes cleaning her ears a piece of cake.
We did a lot of reading this winter. They loved to lay blankets on the floor and have their own little spot.
Addy played basketball for the first time. She is still gaining back her strength and hasn't gone on a big growth spurt yet. But she had a lot of fun and made some new friends.
I was the coach. It was fun!
For 4H Addy did a talk on how to pack a gluten free lunch. She did a great job and got a purple ribbon! The club leaders asked her to do her talk for the clubs model meeting, so she got to give her talk many times. She got to where she didn't need to use her note cards and even started adding in a little more details and examples.
Bedtime books and cuddles is probably my favorite time of the day. Chloe loves books and it is so fun to read to all of them at the same time. Chloe's favorite books right now are "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom," and "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." Addy likes mystery, Luke likes history, and Brooke likes anything I will read her.
Brooke lost around 50% of her hair. Here is picture of the biggest bald spot. She had several bald spots all over her head. They are growing back now and that spot is much smaller.
It is a crazy thing. We don't know why it happened or what caused it. There is nothing we can do about it either.
Luke has a fascination with money. We have been able to have some good lessons with him. Here he is buying a toy at Bluestem with a gift card he got from Christmas.
Nana sends a lot of packages which is always very exciting!
Brooke turned 4 and went on her first date. A pretty good looking guy took her out to Orange Leaf.
She chose vanilla with sprinkles.
That date wore her out. She is so precious.
