Catching Up

We've been adjusting to life here with 4 kiddos pretty well.  Many things are harder with 4, like finding time to post something on the blog, but so many things are better.  Having 4 little ones cuddling with me on the couch while I read a book is so fun. It takes longer to get out the door and get everyone a bath, and do the laundry, and go to the store, etc. But I really like the feeling of full.  There isn't an empty seat in the van anymore, there is a chair reserved at the table for when Chloe is big enough to join us, there is no wiggling room in the bed on Saturday mornings, there are no more empty hooks in the bathroom where the kids hang their towels.

I have found that with each child I love being a mom more.  I think it is mainly because I know I am right where God wants me, and there is great peace in knowing that.  Yes, it is hard to have 4 small children, I am very busy, my hands are full (as people at the grocery store always say). I wouldn't want my hands to be full of anything else!

This is Chloe's birth announcement picture.

Big brother loves his baby Chloe.

All four kids at the same age. I'd say she fits in with the gang.

After Chloe was born we got a big snow.  It was MUCH needed as we are in a drought.  Papa Mike had to come help put the heads on the snowmen. The kids loved the snow and spent HOURS outside in it. Brooke was only outside to take this picture though.  She didn't want to get any snow on her boots.  She loves being outside, but not when it's snowy or muddy.

And then about a week after the snow melted, it warmed up drastically!  It was about 80 degrees this day, right before Spring Break. It
felt extremely hot!  So of course the kids had to get out their swimsuits.  We love Kansas weather!

This is what the kids do when they aren't playing outside.  They are pretending to be puppies, and even included Chloe.

The little girls are getting some quality time with daddy.  Brooke wasn't feeling well, so she just went to sleep.  She got hit hard this winter with illness.  It was one thing after the other every few weeks.  Hopefully the warmer weather will help her immune system recover.

We will have to wait a little longer for the warmer weather though.  At the end of Spring Break we got another snow.  Addy was thrilled.  She loves making snowmen.  As soon as the snow started sticking to the ground she went out and made a snowman.  That snowman was wearing flip flops.  I guess that is fitting for Spring Break.  Today the snow started melting fast, so she hurried out and made one more snowman. Hopefully the last one for a while. By the time she finished the snowman the snow was pretty much gone.

Luke made a neat little contraption out of snowballs and 2X4's.  Then he crawled from snowball to snowball on the pieces of wood.

And baby Chloe is doing well.  She's growing fast and working on a smile!
