Busy weekend
Our weekend started on Thursday as we went to Wichita. Around 11 PM Luke started coughing and was having trouble breathing. We took him to the ER. No sleep that night but he is fine now. Then we went to Fredonia. Luke does not like riding in his car seat more than 5 minutes so we discovered how unpleasant it is to travel with him. Then we went to Joplin to go to a wedding that we thought started at 5, but when we got there everyone was leaving, so we just went to the reception. We stopped in Thayer that night to see Larry and Patty and then went home after church on Sunday. Scott had a stomach ache that day and we were so glad to get home. What we thought was going to be a super fun weekend wasn't as super as we thought, although it was really great to see family and friends. So all in all it was worth it despite the frustrations.

We were driving to Natasha's graduation last night and there was a tractor going down the road. The wheels were sticking out pretty far and it looked like they were going to come off. I made a comment about it, and Addison went into panic mode saying, "If the wheels fall of fthe car can't go anymore, we need to make it to Natasha's graduation. Mommy can't drive her car anymore, etc. I kept telling her I was talking about the tractor, not our car. Later that night there was a tractor in a field and she saw it when she looked out the window. All of a sudden she got all worried again thinking the wheels were going to fall off. You've really got to watch what you say around her because she doesn't forget!

Addison's sleepless night
Last night the kids spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa. Luke slept wonderfully through the night, but Addison woke up 3 times to try to get Grandma to sleep with her. Addison wanted to get up to eat some cereal. Grandma said, "no, we're going to wait until the sun wakes up before we get up. It is still sleeping." Addison thought a bit and said, " The sun doesn't have eyes."
